Ford Khorsandian, President

Ford Khorsandian founded U.S. based firm, TPR International Inc., in 1995 as a ‘Power Patent Search Firm’ that could embody the pinnacle of searching knowledge and skills available anywhere. Ever since, Mr. Khorsandian has dedicated his career to supporting organizations and law firms at the forefront of innovation that depend on accurate patent information using the very latest in cutting edge searching and analysis techniques.

He has long been a dominant figure in the patent information world. As an Electrical Engineer, his early career in patent information led him to become Vice President of Derwent North America, and later he became an International Director of Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS). Throughout, he forged enduring ties with clients worldwide and built a unique understanding of patent information challenges and solutions.

Mr. Khorsandian’s dynamism and passion for patents has led him to hold prominent positions on multiple patent search advisory boards, including as Vice Chair of the Patent Information Users Group (PIUG). He is also founder of the International Patent Information (IPI) Award that recognizes significant achievement in the advancement of patent information throughout the world.

Our principal founders honed their skills in the patent and scientific information community. After gaining a wealth of knowledge they formed TPR International, a best-practices team of professional search experts of the highest degree.

From the beginning, our search strategy has stressed the use of the latest tools, technologies, and techniques. This is a vision supported through the establishment by the TPR founders of two of the most authoritative industry conferences for the information profession, attended by top patent and information professional executives from the world’s foremost corporations.
